What's the Tea?

Thursday, May 7, 2026
6 to 8pm

Caramoor Music Room
149 Girdle Ridge Road
Katonah, NY 10536

All Tickets $45

Join us for an engaging evening of conversation, community, and hands-on exploration centered around the rich and ever-evolving world of tea.

Our spring open meeting panel will take place in Caramoor’s beautiful Music Room, featuring a panel of NY-based business owners and experts in the field.

The panel, moderated by a clinical herbalist and member of the New York Unit, Herb Society of America, will explore tea from root to cup—covering cultivation and blending, culinary traditions, and the many wellness-forward and cultural uses of these beloved plants.

Guests will be guided through both the historical and contemporary significance of tea, offering insight into how it connects agriculture, ritual, flavor, and daily life. Following the panel, guests will enjoy guided tea sampling and tea blending while learning the fundamentals of crafting balanced, intentional blends and creating their own custom tea to take home.

The discussion is open to the public and will introduce guests to the robust programming offered by the Herb Society of America’s New York Unit.
